Manas AI is a research-driven, ethically grounded initiative — born of a partnership between the IKS Research Centre for Philosophical and Cognitive Sciences at ISS Delhi and Krishnayan AI. We pursue cutting-edge AI not as a goal in itself, but as a means to deepen our understanding of mind, body, and meaning.
Our mission
Intelligence in service of awareness.
We build systems that sense, model, and support the dynamics of mind — physiologically grounded, culturally rooted, and clinically useful. Our work spans four directions: frontier AI applications, physics-informed models for physical AI, consciousness-based research, and low-cost human-centred devices for healthcare and wellness.
Our aim is not to replace contemplative and clinical traditions, but to give them new instruments — so that the science of inner life can become as rigorous, accessible, and shareable as any other branch of modern science.

Consent and privacy
Inner states are sacred. We design for minimum data collection, on-device processing where possible, and unambiguous informed consent at every step.
Cultural rootedness
We treat Indic traditions of inquiry into the mind as living scientific knowledge — not as ornament, but as a generative source of hypotheses and frameworks.
Affordability
If a device can only help the few, it cannot heal the many. We optimise for low-cost manufacture, low-power operation, and offline-first usability.
Non-coercion
Our systems reflect; they do not nudge. We resist the engagement-maximising patterns of consumer technology — a Manas AI device should never compete for your attention.
Open science
We release datasets, model cards, and protocols whenever feasible — because the science of mind is too important to be siloed inside a single institution.

Krishnayan AI
Krishnayan AI builds applied artificial intelligence for real-world impact — bringing engineering discipline, product craft, and deployment know-how to research that would otherwise stay on the page.
